IT Project Manager

Educational Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Required: Project Management Professional (PMP )
  • Preferred:
    • Agile or Scrum-based Project Management
    • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundations

Experience: Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in:

  • Leading large-scale IT projects involving multiple diverse teams.
  • Using project management software like Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, etc., to oversee and organize projects.
  • Creating and managing detailed project plans and schedules using work breakdown structures.
  • Managing projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, with a preference for experience in waterfall.
  • Employing PMO methodologies and managing related documentation.
  • Acquiring knowledge in IT disciplines such as programming, data analytics, etc.

Role Responsibilities: The Project Manager will be the primary point of communication for the project team and will be responsible for:

  • Developing and overseeing resource-loaded and leveled project plans.
  • Tracking project metrics and maintaining performance metrics to meet established standards.
  • Producing project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Overseeing project budgets and resource allocation for associated projects.
  • Ensuring all project documentation is maintained to meet Program Management Office (PMO) standards.
  • Leading or assisting in the collection of business requirements during Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
  • Collaborating closely with customers, stakeholders, and IT software developers to ensure clear and accurate documentation of business requirements.

This position is vital for the seamless execution and management of strategic IT projects. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in project management, demonstrating a blend of analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
